LETS is an acronym for Local Energy Transfer System. There are many groups world wide, but I’ll focus on my local group.

LETS is a group of people with different skills that trade these skills with others through a simple currency. Our currency is called ‘Rays’. Different groups have similar currency that are called different names. For instance, Maleny Lets trade in ‘Bunyas’ and Caloundra Lets trade in ‘Shells’. These differently named currencies are worth the same so a trading of skills over different groups can take place which is called ‘Interlets’.
